As part of the unveiling of our “Clean North, Green North” Initiative, the EcoEmpower Alliance team paid a courtesy call to Dakpema, the esteemed chief of Tamale, to seek his blessings and support for this transformative mission.
The day began with a two-hour cleanup exercise at the open grounds of the Dakpema Palace, where the team unclogged gutters, removed sand, and cleared plastic waste, restoring the area’s cleanliness and hygiene. Following the cleanup, we engaged the Arabic School located at the palace in an hour-long sensitization session. The session focused on educating the children about the dangers of plastic pollution and empowering them with simple, actionable steps to combat the menace.
The day concluded with an insightful discussion with Dakpema, during which he expressed his deep appreciation for EcoEmpower Alliance’s selfless dedication to environmental sustainability. He prayed for the success of the initiative and pledged his unwavering support to help ensure its impact reaches all corners of the community.
