Donation of Fish-Shaped Bin to Murita Academy School

In its mission to combat plastic pollution, EcoEmpower Alliance has prioritized youth engagement, launching environmental clubs in schools to inspire young stewards of the environment. As part of this effort, EEA donated a striking metallic, fish-shaped waste bin to Murita Academy in Tamale.

The donation, designed to make environmental stewardship fun and relatable, was met with enthusiasm from students and teachers alike. The fish bin became a symbol of the school’s commitment to keeping their surroundings clean. Two weeks after the donation, the EEA team revisited the school and found the bin nearly full, a testament to its success in encouraging proper waste disposal.

The headmaster, Mr. Jafar, commended the initiative, noting that the unique design of the bin had inspired both students and staff to take active roles in managing plastic waste. This initiative underscores EEA’s commitment to practical, community-driven solutions to environmental challenges and its belief in empowering the next generation to lead the charge for a cleaner, greener future.
